The Daendels Road

               The Great Post Road is a historical street names across the islands of Java. Begin at 1809 when Governor General H.W. Daendels (Dutch) made The Grote Postweg (Great Post Road) to connected Bandung-Cirebon-Jakarta, as a chain of military defences against British Colonial.
                Early in the wake as a bastion by the Dutch colonial government at that time to keep the driveway from the south in order to guarantee the security in the city to break every threat.
                Daendels ruled between the years 1808-1811. 1000 kilometers of road that runs along the north of the island of Java, from Anyer to Panarukan. This is one of several greatest tragedy in the history of forced labor in Indian Land. The road was completed only in just one year (1808). But middle of the construction road so much take the number of victims, estimated as many  12,000 people were forced to work for the construction of the road.
